Is 7:10-14/Lk 1:26-38

Psalm Antiphon: “O Root of Jesse, which standest for an ensign of the people, at Whom kings shall shut their mouths, Whom the gentiles shall seek, come to deliver us, do not tarry.”

O Root of Jesse, come to deliver us, do not tarry.

O Root of Jesse, come to deliver us. Do not tarry

but show us both your power and our own strength.

O Root of Jesse, come to deliver us. Do not tarry

but show us yourself. Our own power and strength

is in our knowing our common dignity in you.

O Root of Jesse, come to deliver us. Do not tarry

but show us yourself. Our own power and strength

is in our knowing our common dignity. In you

we silence dictators, befriend the stranger

and find peace.

Mantra: Come, do not tarry!
